Maroon 5 in Osaka 2022
One of the most memorable days from my life in Osaka was the day I saw Maroon 5 live in concert. It was their first performance in Japan in nearly three years since February 2019, and also marked their first dome tour in Japan.
Maroon 5 is a globally loved rock band, and they’re especially popular in Japan as well. As a longtime fan, I had been eagerly looking forward to this moment.
The concert was held at Kyocera Dome Osaka, commonly known as “Osaka Dome”. While it usually serves as a baseball stadium, it transforms into a massive concert venue that holds tens of thousands of fans. I’ve also attended concerts there by the Japanese idol group Arashi and the Korean girl group BLACKPINK, both of which were equally unforgettable experiences.

I chose the “MEMORIES” VIP S seat. Although seating was assigned by lottery rather than selected in advance, I opted for this section because its aisle-side layout near the stage promised a closer view of the artists. In the end, I was able to see them up close and was very satisfied.
●Entry Process & Flow:
You queue at the entrance gate number printed on your ticket.
At the entrance, your ticket is checked and there’s a light baggage inspection.
There was some waiting time due to the large crowd, but thanks to the friendly staff, entry was smooth without major issues.
●Merchandise Purchase Review:
・Waiting time to buy merchandise on site was at least 30 minutes.
・Popular items sell out quickly, so if you want specific goods, it’s best to line up early before doors open.
・VIP guests received a limited-edition merchandise set, which was a great collector’s item.

You can simply search for “Kyocera Dome Osaka” on Google Maps to find the exact location.
After the concert, a large crowd heads to the station at once, so you might have to wait briefly near the entrances. It’s a good idea to check your route in advance to avoid stress and move smoothly.

This video was filmed from a VIP S seat at the Osaka Dome, facing the audience rather than the stage.
Adam Levine and guitarist James Valentine of Maroon 5 can be seen up close, and the interior of the dome is clearly visible.
Countless smartphone flashes held by the audience lit up the venue beautifully, enhancing the magical concert atmosphere.
Tips for Enjoying a Concert at Osaka Dome
1. Surprisingly close view from VIP S seats
Thanks to the center aisle stage design, even VIP S seats felt very close to the artists, making the experience more immersive.
2. Buy merchandise early
Pre-order or arrive early—popular goods sold out quickly at the venue.

AEON Mall next to Osaka Dome is perfect for pre-show shopping or dining.
