In addition to touring the manufacturing line of the iconic cookies, visitors can enjoy a wide variety of attractions — including a hands-on cookie-making workshop, exhibitions of antique items and the history of chocolate, a charming miniature train, and “Gulliver Town,” a playful miniature village that delights both kids and adults.

One of the sweetest highlights at Shiroi Koibito Park is the “Sweets Workshop DREAM KITCHEN.”
Here, visitors can take part in a hands-on cookie-making experience, creating their very own version of the iconic Shiroi Koibito cookie. This fun and interactive workshop is a paid program, but well worth it for anyone who wants a unique souvenir and a delicious memory to take home.
With aprons on and chocolate in hand, you’ll decorate a large-sized cookie with your own design — perfect for families, couples, or anyone who loves sweets and creativity!
Shiroi Koibito Park Mini Train: A Fun Ride Through a Sweet Wonderland
One of the most charming attractions at Shiroi Koibito Park used to be the Shiroi Koibito Railway(白い恋人鉄道), a mini train that offered a delightful ride through a world of candy-themed houses and whimsical patissier statues.
Unfortunately, due to aging facilities, the train officially ceased operation on October 31, 2021. While it no longer runs, the track and decorations remain intact and now serve as a popular photo spot for visitors.
Even without the ride, it’s easy to imagine the joy it once brought — with colorful candy landscapes, fairy-tale scenes, and playful sculptures that still bring smiles today.
Shiroi Koibito Park also offers a wide variety of attractions and experiences.
Since it’s located very close to central Sapporo, I highly recommend setting aside a day to visit if you’re in Hokkaido.
Tips for Visiting Shiroi Koibito Park
1. Check the Opening Hours and Zone Access
Shiroi Koibito Park is open from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with both paid and free areas available. Opening and last entry times may vary depending on the facility, so it’s best to check the official website in advance.
2. Reserve Paid Areas in Advance
Popular time slots for paid areas can fill up quickly, and walk-ins may not be accepted if reservations are full. Make sure to book ahead, especially if you’re visiting during busy seasons. Limited-time events are also held depending on the time of year.
3. Avoid Peak Lunch Hours
The park can get crowded around lunchtime, especially between 12:00 PM and 1:00 PM. For a more relaxed dining experience, try eating a bit earlier or later than usual.
4. Photo & Video Guidelines
Personal photos are allowed in all areas of the park. However, please avoid photographing unrelated visitors.
If you’re planning to shoot in costume, for media coverage, or for commercial use, permission is required. Contact the park in advance via the chatbot.
5. Live Streaming Not Allowed
