As of the date of this post, Samsung maintains the No.1 position in global smartphone shipments, and “Galaxy Studio Osaka” is a Galaxy brand experience space operated by this global leading company. Here, visitors can try out and purchase new products, as well as experience the latest Galaxy AI features firsthand.
In addition, the studio offers a program called “My Galaxy,” where you can create your own one-of-a-kind Samsung Galaxy strap. Located inside Osaka Namba Marui, Galaxy Studio Osaka showcases a wide variety of product accessories, and the customizable strap service allows you to express your personal style even more.

My Galaxy
My Galaxy is located on the first floor of Namba Marui (OIOI) in Osaka, Japan, and it is situated within the same space as Galaxy Studio Osaka. When you look at Galaxy Studio Osaka from the front, My Galaxy is on the left side. If you have trouble finding it, feel free to ask the staff at Galaxy Studio Osaka—they will guide you kindly.
The business hours are the same, from 11:00 to 20:00, and admission is free with no reservation required.
Another important point is that anyone can enter the studio and create their own Galaxy strap, even if they are not a Galaxy user.
I purchased a Galaxy Ultra at Galaxy Studio Osaka, received a free My Galaxy strap-making coupon, and created my own custom My Galaxy strap.
Creating My Galaxy
This is the order sheet for My Galaxy. To create your My Galaxy strap, simply fill out the order sheet step by step, make the payment, and then pick up your completed custom Galaxy strap.
What impressed me about this order sheet was that it provides not only Japanese, but also English descriptions. Recently, foreign-language menus have become more common in Japanese restaurants, but it is still rare to find multilingual support in regular retail stores. In that sense, the English labels make it easy for visitors who do not understand Japanese to complete their strap, and I felt this reflected the friendliness and thoughtfulness unique to Galaxy Studio Osaka.
1. Choose the Strap Color
First, choose the strap color you want. My Galaxy offers a total of 17 strap colors, including white and black, as well as options like light blue, brown, and shocking pink.
I personally like purple and navy, but if you want to use the strap as a point accessory, choosing a vivid and bright color can also be a great option.
2. Choose the Text Color
The available languages for customization are limited to Japanese and English. For Japanese, you can choose between Hiragana and Katakana.
For better visibility, it’s recommended to choose a text color that contrasts with the strap color, as it will appear clearer, more attractive, and more eye-catching.

3. Choose the Font
There are five font options each for Japanese and English.
One important thing to note is that the available numbers and symbols differ depending on the font. For example, the fourth Japanese font from the top does not support numbers or symbols, and the last English font can only be used with uppercase letters. Please also be aware that the availability of the underscore (_) symbol varies depending on the font.

4. Choose Your Text
Finally, decide on the phrase you want to include and write it on the order sheet.
You can write up to 8 characters, but considering the font size and the length of the strap, I personally think that around 6 characters is the most suitable. You can add an icon after the phrase for free, while adding an icon before the phrase is a paid option.
You can freely choose your phrase—whether it’s a nickname, your pet’s name, or a meaningful date expressed only with numbers. Below are a few Japanese phrases I recommend.
・おおさかなんば（Ōsaka Namba）：Osaka Namba
・いつもありがとう（Itsumo arigatō）：Thank you always
・こんにちは！（Konnichiwa!）：Hello!
・キラキラ（Kirakira）：Sparkly / Shiny
・あいしてる（Aishiteru）：I love you
My Galaxy Option: Icons
These are the icons you can add along with your selected phrase.
There are 35 icon options available, including flowers, musical notes, smiley faces, moons and stars, fruits, and animals. You can choose your favorite icon, or select one that matches your phrase or the color of your strap.

My Galaxy Option: Various Parts
At My Galaxy, operated by Galaxy Studio Osaka and located in Namba Marui in Osaka, you can express your individuality not only through the strap’s text and icons but also by choosing from a variety of decorative parts.
There are colorful parts in both large and small sizes, including the Osaka-exclusive takoyaki part and cute tiger parts. Just browsing through all the available options can take quite some time.
There are also strap rings available in a variety of colors, just as diverse as the parts. You can match the ring color with your strap or choose a contrasting color for a more colorful look.
There are both glossy and matte finishes, so you can select the one that suits your preference. I chose the matte finish, but after using the strap for a long time, the coating started to wear off a little, which was a bit disappointing.
The photo above shows a sample Galaxy Z Fold on display at My Galaxy, with a ring pad and ring attached.
Even without the ring pad, you can use the ring on any item that has a place to attach a hook—such as a smartphone case, a bag, or a pouch.
Production Fee
As of the date of this post, the strap costs 600 yen, the ring 300 yen, and the ring pad 300 yen, allowing you to create your own one-of-a-kind Galaxy strap. Even if you purchase only the strap and the ring without the ring pad, the total is still under 1,000 yen, making it very affordable. Parts are 650 yen for five pieces, adding an icon before the phrase costs 200 yen, and changing colors costs 100 yen per color.
The production time is about 20–30 minutes, but it may vary depending on the operating conditions. After making the payment, you will receive a pickup ticket. Simply return at the designated time written on the ticket to collect your completed My Galaxy strap. Please note that returns and refunds are not available after payment, and the final acceptance for production closes 30 minutes before the store’s closing time.
While waiting for your My Galaxy to be completed, I recommend spending some time at Hollys Coffee, a Korean café located nearby, or enjoying some shopping around Marui.
The Real My Galaxy
This is my actual My Galaxy strap. I often use it on my bag or travel pouch in my daily life.
It measures approximately 15 cm in width and 3 cm in height, making it neither too big nor too small. It matches well with various items and works perfectly as a point accessory.
A one-of-a-kind Galaxy strap like this makes not only a meaningful personal item but also a special souvenir or gift.
