Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon
Sailor Moon is a beloved Japanese anime and manga series that began in the 1990s, originally titled Bishōjo Senshi Sailor Moon in Japanese.
The story follows Usagi Tsukino, a young girl who receives the power of the Moon and fights alongside the Sailor Guardians to protect Earth. Broadcast internationally during the 1990s, the series became a cultural phenomenon and gained a worldwide fanbase.
Even today, it remains highly popular, with new collaborations and merchandise continuing to be released.
For me as well, Sailor Moon was the most memorable and beloved anime of my childhood, and even now as an adult, it still brings me joy every time I see it.
3COINS
In Japan, 100-yen shops like Daiso are widely known, but 3COINS is another popular nationwide variety store chain, offering most of its products at the affordable price of 300 yen.
From interior goods and kitchen or bathroom items to fashion accessories and smartphone-related products, 3COINS provides a wide range of trendy and inexpensive items that have earned strong popularity.
With stylish designs and seasonal limited editions, it appeals to both young people and families, and each season’s limited goods or collaboration items often become a hot topic.
3COINS × Sailor Moon Vol.1

When 3COINS collaborated with Sailor Moon, I visited the 3COINS store located in Osaka Umeda LUCUA.
Because of the high popularity of this collaboration, entry was only allowed for those who had won the advance lottery, and shopping was limited to the designated date and time. At both the entrance to the limited sale corner and at checkout, customers were required to show their winning screen to the staff.
Entry slots were scheduled every 10 minutes, and the shopping time was also restricted to 10 minutes. Although short, the system kept the store from becoming overcrowded, allowing customers to choose their items smoothly while enjoying the excitement unique to limited-edition goods.
In addition, each winner was allowed to purchase only one piece per item, ensuring that more people had a fair chance to buy the collaboration products.

Since I had recently purchased a new laptop, I decided to buy a PC case to carry it and a gadget pouch to keep my mouse and charger organized. These items felt very practical, and I was happy to find something I could actually use in daily life.
I also purchased a Sailor Moon slide mirror because I liked the design. Although I don’t use it often, it feels worthwhile to own as a limited-edition good, and I’m happy to have it.

The collaboration goods were also available through the official online shop, so it was possible to purchase them without entering the in-store lottery. In fact, since there were items sold exclusively online, shopping online may have been even more convenient for some fans.
The 3COINS × Sailor Moon collaboration was released in two parts, Vol.1 and Vol.2, each featuring different items. This made the collaboration even more exciting, as fans could look forward to a fresh lineup with every release.
3COINS × Sailor Moon Vol.2

I also visited the 3COINS store at Osaka Umeda LUCUA for the second release. While the first collection carried the warmth of a sunny afternoon, the second had the atmosphere of a cool night illuminated by moonlight.
Personally, I found far more items that I liked in Vol.2 than in Vol.1. And since everything at 3COINS is priced at just 300 yen, it was nice to be able to purchase many items without feeling a heavy burden on my budget.

From the second release, I purchased items such as a clear file, masking tape, memo pad, stickers, a smartphone stand, sticky notes, and mini zipper bags.
To be honest, I don’t use most of them regularly, but simply owning them as limited-edition Sailor Moon collaboration items feels meaningful enough to me.

The second release was also available through the online shop, with several items sold exclusively online. This lineup stood out because it featured many types of cases, such as eco bags, accessory cases, and card cases.
Beyond special collaborations like this, 3COINS regularly launches seasonal items that match current trends. It’s a store where you can always find practical everyday goods at an affordable price, which is why I often visit as well. I’m already looking forward to seeing what kind of limited-edition items will be released next.
